Do I need a laptop sleeve to go with my laptop messenger tote (bag)?
I'm new to the world of laptops and I've been shopping for laptop messenger bags to carry it in. Im wondering if I need a sleeve for my 15.4" laptop to fit inside the messenger tote I'm going to buy. They have matching sleeves and totes, is that for a reason, or just for more options?

If you think you're lucky enough, you can go without the sleeve, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I am dangerous around any kind of electronics equipment. I drop it, sit on it, spill on it, etc etc. I get every safety device available to protect my gear from my bad luck. If you never drop or bang your laptop then you'll never need the sleeve. If you're not that lucky, a few bucks extra ($40 to $60) is well worth saving yourself from buying a new laptop every other month.

Last week, while I was enjoying the nice weather on my motorcycle, I hit a pretty good bump and my cell phone popped out of my shirt pocket. That could ONLY happen to me!!! It still works, but it got kinda bumped and scratched. Thank goodness for the protective case it was in.... Just an example of the kinds of things that happen to my poor electronics.

So, to quote "Dirty Harry"
Do you feel lucky?
